Artist Statement

My name is Natalie Raaf and I attend Blue Valley West High School. I am involved in NHS, Leo Club, student ambassadors, and other clubs at school. I also like spending time with my family and friends. I chose to take photography so I could have a fun class in my schedule where I could take a small break from the stress of the school day, and I ended up loving it. Taking photos with my friends and learning about the processes involved in developing film has been very enjoyable. My favorite subjects to capture are nature, people, and travel shots. I love the excitement of first looking at a roll of film once it's been developed, and remembering everything I took pictures of. Photography has the ability to freeze and record a moment in time which is fascinating to me.
